For 800 years, a monument of national importance has stood on the castle rock on the Emme River: Burgdorf Castle. After the castle has experienced a lot, it has been completely open to the public for the first time since spring 2020. In addition to the museum with educational offers for schools, there are now overnight accommodations in the youth hostel, a ceremony venue, seminar and banquet facilities as well as the Burgdorf Castle restaurant. Marrying, celebrating, meeting, marveling, sleeping and learning - all this is possible in the castle, which was greatly extended by the Zähringers around the year 1200. Education and history can be experienced up close and surrounded by the impressive castle walls, new ideas are born. The unique ambience gives your event a special touch.
