The Ochsen stands for "meat enjoyment with family tradition", because top quality meat and hospitality have been a tradition at the Gasthof zum Ochsen in Arlesheim near Basel for over 300 years. Barbara and Christoph Jenzer not only run the in-house butchery but also the hotel, which was completely renovated in 2017. In all 35 modern rooms, photos from the family chronicle were immortalized on unique wallpaper. Thus, each room is unique. Breakfast during the week from 6:30 a.m. with homemade jams, yogurts, Bircher Müesli and meat and cheese specialties from the in-house butchery.
