The Bärghuis Schönbüel is a traditional, inviting chalet-style guesthouse on a sunny terrace (2011 m above sea level) high above Lungern (Central Switzerland) and the Haslital - and with a breathtaking panorama from the Niesen over the Bernese and Central Swiss Alps to the Eastern Alps. Easily accessible, e.g. from Lungern on the Lucerne - Interlaken railroad line. From there you can reach Schönbüel in a first stage with the new LTB (Lungern-Turren Railway) to Turren and then in a leisurely walk, past the picturesque alpine settlement of Breitenfeld, in a good 1 ½ - 2 hours. Hikers from all four points of the compass from Brienz or Sörenberg via Brienzerrothorn, from Giswil via Flounalp, from Pilatus via Langis or the Glaubenbielen Pass or from Brünig via the Wilerhorn meet at their destination, the Bärghuis Schönbüel. In summer and winter, Schönbüel is an oasis of peace, an insider tip for seminars, far away from the hustle and bustle and mass tourism.
